Transmission, Securing to Assembly Stand

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Holding fixture (VW 313)

• Holding fixture (VW 540)

- Secure transmission to holding fixture (VW 540 ) - arrows - and insert in holding fixture (VW 313 ).





- To insert, workshop crane ( V.A.G 1202 A ) with shackle (10 - 222 A /12) can be used, see transporting automatic transmission => [ Transmission, Transporting ] Transmission, Transporting.

CAUTION!
The transmission center of gravity is outside the point of rotation of the holding fixture. When turning the transmission over, a second technician is required to hold the housing to stop the transmission from swinging back.

• If a transmission, filled with oil, is to be turned so that the oil pan is on top, first seal the breathers in the transmission housing.
