Viscous Fan Coupling, Removing and Installing

Special tools and equipment

- 3212 Two-hole pin wrench
- 3312 Open jaw spanner
- VAG 1331 Torque wrench (5-50 Nm)

Removing





- Counter hold radiator fan viscous coupling belt pulley with 2 hole pin wrench 3212 and unscrew radiator fan viscous coupling with open jaw spanner 3312 (left-hand thread).
- Remove fan viscous coupling carefully upward.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:

- Tighten radiator fan viscous coupling to 40 Nm (left-hand thread). Tightening torque is only valid when used in conjunction with open jaw spanner 3312!
