TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING: TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RECEIVER (for Hatchback): REMOVAL
HINT
The type of tire pressure warning ECU and receiver used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicles. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.
1. PRECAUTION
CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.
w/ VSC: Airbag System (for Hatchback with VSC/Built-in Type Yaw Rate Sensor)
w/o VSC: Airbag System (for Hatchback without VSC)
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Initialization (from 07/2011).
3. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH (for 5 Door)

5. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER
(a) Disconnect the connector from the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
(b) Remove the bolt.
(c) Disengage the 2 tabs from the holes to remove the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
