1NZ-FE STARTING: STARTER (for Hatchback Except Cold Area Specification Vehicles): REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER

(a) Disengage the claw by pulling it outward and remove the flywheel housing side cover.





4. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY





(a) Open the terminal cap.

(b) Remove the nut and disconnect the terminal 30.

(c) Disconnect the connector.

(d) Remove the 2 bolts and the starter assembly.
