CRUISE CONTROL: CLUTCH SWITCH (for Hatchback): REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Airbag System (for Hatchback with VSC/Built-in Type Yaw Rate Sensor).

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)

4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag) Removal (from 07/2011)

5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag) Removal (from 07/2011)

6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

7. REMOVE NO. 2 CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Loosen the nut and remove the No. 2 clutch start switch assembly.
