BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): PROPORTIONING VALVE (for Hatchback): INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL PROPORTIONING VALVE

(a) Install the proportioning valve onto the proportioning valve bracket with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

(b) Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, install the 3 brake tubes onto the proportioning valve and the brake tube way.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

(c) Install the proportioning valve bracket with the 2 bolts in the sequence order shown in the illustration.





Torque : 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)

(d) Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, install the 6 brake tubes onto the proportioning valve and the brake tube way.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

8. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

9. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL Testing and Inspection

10. INSTALL CENTER COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER Service and Repair
