DESCRIPTION
A maximum of 5 master key codes and 3 sub key codes (for Mexico) can be registered.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When replacing the key and transponder key ECU assembly, refer to the Registration Engine Immobiliser System (for Hatchback).
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK REGISTRATION MODE
(a) Check that the system enters registration mode.
OK:
System enters registration mode
NG -- INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK THEFT WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT OPERATION
(a) In the registration mode, when the key inserted in ignition key cylinder, check that the theft warning indicator light assembly.
HINT
If the new key code registration fails, code 2-1 will be output through the theft warning indicator light assembly. Trying to re-register an already registered key will cause code 2-2 to be output when the key is inserted. If the number of registered key codes exceeds the maximum limit, code 2-3 will be output through the theft warning indicator light assembly. The output details are shown below.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

4. KEY REGISTRATION
(a) Refer to the table below to determine if additional keys can be registered.
(b) Check whether key registration.

5. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Inspect the unlock warning switch assembly Testing and Inspection.
NG -- REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the D111 unlock warning switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D139 transponder key ECU assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY Removal (from 07/2011)
