DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of each door courtesy light switch.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

B -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)
C -- INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)
D -- INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
A -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System
2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)
(a) Remove the front door courtesy light switch assembly Components.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - SWITCH)
(a) for Front LH
(1) Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
(2) Disconnect the R6 front door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.
(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(b) for Front RH
(1) Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
(2) Disconnect the S5 front door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.
(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) for Front LH
(1) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

(1) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

5. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)
(a) Remove the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Components.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - REAR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)
(a) for Rear LH
(1) Disconnect the L7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
(2) Disconnect the R13 rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.
(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(b) for Rear RH
(1) Disconnect the L7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
(2) Disconnect the S10 rear door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.
(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Components
7. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the back door lock assembly Components.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the L7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
(b) Disconnect the R18 back door lock assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Components
