2AR-FXE EMISSION CONTROL: EGR VALVE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

HINT
After replacing the EGR valve assembly, perform the "Inspection After Repairs" Programming and Relearning.

(a) Install 2 new gaskets.

(b) Temporarily install the EGR valve assembly with the 4 bolts.

(c) Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 2 stud bolts.

Torque : 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

(d) Temporarily install the 2 nuts.

(e) Tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

(f) Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, tighten the 2 nuts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(g) Using a 10 mm deep socket wrench, install the bolt.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

(h) Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses.

(i) Connect the connector.

3. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. ADD COOLANT (for Engine) Coolant (for Engine)

5. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) Testing and Inspection
