DOOR / HATCH: LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Manual Seat)

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)

Removal

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK Removal

5. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

7. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Removal

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

9. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Removal

10. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER Removal

11. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH Removal

13. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER Disassembly

14. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT Removal

15. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE BAGGAGE HOLDER NET (w/ Partition Net) Removal

17. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal

18. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

(a) Push the pin and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.

19. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH Removal

20. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the guide and disconnect the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

(c) Disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly and luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly and remove the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly.

21. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps.

(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

(d) Turn back the floor carpet so that the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly and fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly can be removed.

(e) Disengage the guide as shown in the illustration.

(f) Disconnect the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

(g) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

(h) Rotate the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration to align the cutouts and the guides , and then pull the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

(i) Rotate the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration to align the cutouts and guides , and then pull the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

(j) Pull out the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer with both guides and aligned with the cutouts.

(k) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

(l) Disengage the 10 clamps and remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly and luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

(m) Using a knife, cut off the clamp as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly and luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

(n) Remove the clamp.

(o) Remove the 3 pieces of tape and fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly.
