Park Assist Monitor System





PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. GENERAL

(a) This system has a rear television camera assembly mounted on the luggage compartment door to display an image of the area behind the vehicle on the display. The display panel also shows a composite view consisting of the area behind the vehicle and parking guide lines to assist the driver in parking the vehicle by monitoring the area behind the vehicle.

(b) This system consists of the following components:

(1) Rear television camera assembly

(2) Navigation ECU sub-assembly

(3) Engine room junction block assembly

(4) Combination meter assembly

(5) Steering sensor

(6) Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

(7) Power management control ECU

(c) This system is equipped with a self-diagnosis system, which is operated on a designated window that appears on the display panel, just as in the navigation system.

2. FUNCTION OF COMPONENTS

(a) The navigation ECU sub-assembly controls the system by using information from the following components.





3. OPERATION EXPLANATION

(a) The navigation ECU sub-assembly receives the reverse signal via a direct line when the power switch on (IG) and the shift lever is moved to R. After receiving the reverse signal, the navigation ECU sub-assembly switches to the parking assist monitor system.

5. DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION OUTLINE

(a) This parking assist monitor system has a diagnostic function displayed on the navigation ECU sub-assembly. This function enables calibration (adjustment and verification) of the parking assist monitor system Diagnosis System.

(b) The following items for the parking assist monitor system can be checked using the Techstream.
