C1581/26 - Assist Map Number Un-Writing

DESCRIPTION

This DTC will be stored if the power steering ECU assembly determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced, perform assist map writing Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING

(a) Perform assist map writing Programming and Relearning.

(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NOTICE:
DTC C1581/26 is cleared after the assist map is written.

2. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check for DTCs Diagnosis System.

3. CHECK RELATED PART (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU, MAIN BODY ECU AND SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Check if any of the parts listed below have been replaced with an incorrect part in the past.





NOTICE:
When removing a related part to check it, be sure to follow the appropriate procedures and precautions.

* Refer to the following procedures to remove the power management control ECU Removal.
* Refer to the following procedures to remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) Removal.
* Refer to the following procedures to remove the brake booster with master cylinder assembly (skid control ECU) Removal.

HINT
* DTC C1581/26 is stored when a part with an incorrect part number is installed for the related parts listed above.
* When DTC C1581/26 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
