P311 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: HYBRID TRANSAXLE FLUID: REPLACEMENT

1. DRAIN HYBRID TRANSAXLE FLUID

(a) Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the filler plug and gasket.





(b) Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the drain plug and gasket.

(c) Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the drain plug and a new gasket.

Torque : 39 Nm (398 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf)

2. ADD HYBRID TRANSAXLE FLUID

(a) Add fluid.

HINT
Fluid capacity: 4.1 liters (4.3 US qts, 3.6 Imp. qts.)

(b) Check that the fluid surface is within 5 mm (0.20 in.) from the inner surface of the differential filler plug opening.





NOTICE:
* Stop the vehicle on a level surface.
* Recheck the transaxle fluid level after driving following fluid replacement.
* Insufficient or excessive amounts of transaxle fluid may damage the hybrid transaxle.

(c) Check the oil level.

(d) Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the filler plug and a new gasket.

Torque : 39 Nm (398 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf)

3. INSPECT HYBRID TRANSAXLE FLUID

(a) Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the filler plug and gasket.

(b) Check that the fluid surface is within 5 mm (0.20 in.) from the inner surface of the differential filler plug opening.





NOTICE:
* Stop the vehicle on a level surface.
* Recheck the transaxle fluid level after driving following fluid replacement.
* Insufficient or excessive amounts of transaxle fluid may damage the hybrid transaxle.

(c) Check for leaks if the fluid level is low.

(d) Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the filler plug and a new gasket.

Torque : 39 Nm (398 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf)
