Installation (from 12/2010)

SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY FRONT LH

(a) Install the lower ball joint assembly front LH to the steering knuckle with the castle nut.

Torque : 123 Nm (1,250 kgf-cm, 91 ft-lbf)

(b) Install a new cotter pin to the steering knuckle.

NOTICE:
Further tighten the nut up to 60° if the holes for the cotter pin are not aligned.

2. INSTALL FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front axle assembly LH Installation (from 12/2010).

3. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM

(a) Install the front lower suspension arm Installation (from 12/2010).

4. INSTALL TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the tie rod assembly LH Installation (from 12/2010).

5. INSTALL DISC WHEEL

6. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front disc brake caliper assembly LH Installation (from 12/2010).

7. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH

(a) Install the speed sensor front LH Installation (from 12/2010).

8. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT LH NUT

(a) Install the front axle hub LH nut Installation (from 12/2010).

9. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

10. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

(a) Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment Adjustment (from 12/2010).

11. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

(a) Check for the speed sensor signal Test Mode Procedure (from 12/2010).
