PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: REMOVAL

HINT
Replace the parking brake cable assembly No.2 using the same procedures as for the parking brake cable assembly No.3.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Disassembly

3. REMOVE REAR DISC Disassembly

4. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION NO. 1 SPRING Disassembly

5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT Disassembly

6. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Disassembly

7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET Disassembly

8. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Disassembly

9. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal (to 12/2010)

10. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY Removal (to 12/2010)

11. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER Removal (to 12/2010)

12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal (to 12/2010)

13. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.4 Removal (to 12/2010)

14. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.3

(a) Remove the clip and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.3 from the parking brake equalizer.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.3 from the backing plate.

(d) Remove the clamp from the parking brake cable assembly No.3.
