BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
NOTICE:
Turn the ignition switch off before removing any parts.
HINT
* If no malfunction is found when inspecting parts, inspect the skid control ECU and ground points for poor connect.
* If a trouble code is displayed during the DTC check, check the circuit indicated by the DTC. For details of each code, refer to the applicable Diagnostic Trouble Code Test.
* When 2 or more DTCs are detected, perform circuit inspection one by one until the problem is identified.
* For DTCs indicated by the warning light or indicator light, refer to the DTC charts in DTC Check/Clear.
* Inspect the fuses and relays before investigating the trouble areas as shown in the table below.
ABS DTC
C0226-C1361:
C1381-C1414:
C1415-C1428:
C1442 / U0073-U0124:
*1 to *3:
Even after the trouble areas are repaired, the ABS warning light will not go off unless the following operations are performed:
* *1:
* Drive the vehicle at 20 km/h (12 mph) for 30 seconds or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
* Clear the DTCs.
* *2:
* Turn the ignition switch to ON.
* Keep the vehicle stationary for 5 seconds or more and depress the brake pedal lightly 2 or 3 times.
* Drive the vehicle at the vehicle speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) and depress and hold the brake pedal firmly for approximately 3 seconds.
* Repeat the above operation 3 times or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
* Clear the DTCs.
* *3:
* Turn the ignition switch to ON.
* Depress the brake pedal.
* Clear the DTCs.
HINT
In some cases, the Techstream cannot be used when the ABS warning light remains on.
