B1269 - Theft Deterrent ECU Communication Stop
DESCRIPTION
DTC B1269 is stored when the communication between the theft warning ECU assembly and the main body ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY VOLTAGE)
(a) Disconnect the E110 theft warning ECU assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the E61 main body ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Theft Deterrent System.
(b) Check if the same DTC is detected.
HINT
Reinstall the sensors, connectors, etc. and restore the previous vehicle conditions before rechecking for DTCs.

4. REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the theft warning ECU assembly Removal
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. CONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTC Theft Deterrent System.
(b) Check if the same DTC is detected.
HINT
Reinstall the sensors, connectors, etc. and restore the previous vehicle conditions before rechecking for DTCs.
