SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (Service Precautions).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

3. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the screw from the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.
(b) Pull the glove compartment door assembly to remove it.
4. DISCONNECT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR





(a) Disconnect the connector from the front passenger airbag assembly.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

5. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and the 2 nuts.
(b) Remove the front passenger airbag assembly.
