DTC B2786 - No Response from Steering Lock ECU

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the certification ECU does not receive LIN communication from the steering lock ECU for 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- If the certification ECU is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID .
- If the steering lock ECU is replaced, register the ECU code and ECU communication ID .

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs .
(b) Recheck for DTCs .

B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - STEERING LOCK ECU)





(a) Disconnect the E58 and E51 ECU connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU
(a) Replace the certification ECU.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. ELECTRICAL KEY REGISTRATION
(a) Register the electrical key code in the certification ECU .
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID
(a) Register the ECU communication ID between the ID code box and hybrid vehicle control ECU .
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs .
(b) Recheck for DTCs .
