Luggage Compartment Door Key Cylinder Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the luggage compartment door lock cylinder is turned to CANCEL the door by key, there is continuity between terminal TCAN of the main body ECU and body ground.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
(a) Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester main switch on.
(c) Select the item below in the "DATA LIST" and read the display on the intelligent tester.

MAIN BODY:





OK:
When the mechanical key is operated, the display changes as shown above.
NG -- INSPECT MAIN BODY ECU (TCAN TERMINAL)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT MAIN BODY ECU (TCAN TERMINAL)





(a) Turn the power switch off.
(b) Disconnect the ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
3. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER





(a) Disconnect the luggage compartment door lock cylinder connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU, BODY GROUND - DOOR LOCK CYLINDER)
