DTC B2799-790 Engine Immobilizer System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

DTC Detection Condition:

This DTC is output when one of the following occurs: 1) the hybrid vehicle control ECU detects errors in its own communications with the ID code box; 2) the hybrid vehicle control ECU detects errors in the communication lines; or 3) the ECU communication ID between the ID code box and hybrid vehicle control ECU is different and an hybrid control system start is attempted. Before troubleshooting for this DTC, make sure no certification ECU DTCs are present. If present, troubleshoot the certification ECU DTCs first.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTE:
- If the ID code box is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID.
- If the hybrid vehicle control ECU is replaced, register the ECU communication ID.
