Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

Checking Primary Resistance:

Inspect Primary Coil Resistance
- Using an ohmmeter. measure the resistance between the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.

Primary resistance: 0.21 - 0.32 ohms

- If the resistance is not as specified. replace the ignition coil.

Checking Secondary Resistance:

Inspect Secondary Coil Resistance
- Using an ohmmeter. measure the resistance between the positive (+) and high-tension terminals.

Secondary resistance: 6.4 - 10.7 k ohms
