Timing Belt Tensioner: Testing and Inspection

TIMING BELT TENSIONER
1. Check tensioner roller for smooth rotation. Replace roller if noise or excessive play is noted.





2. Measure the out-of-squareness of tensioner roller "H". If it
exceeds specification, replace roller.

Maximum variation: 0.5mm (0.020 in)

BELT IDLER
- Check idler for smooth rotation. Replace if noise or excessive play is noted.
