Installation

DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.









(b) Engage 6 clamps shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

(b) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the hood lock assembly.





(c) Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.





Torque : 33 Nm (337 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

(b) Install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly with the bolt

Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

4. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
