Checking the Relay Output to the Lock Motor







Unplug the connector:
^ Central locking motor, tailgate (184H)












^ Connect a test lamp to pin 3 and a good grounding point.

















^ Connect a jumper lead between pin 1 (30) and pin 3 (86) of the relay holder.







^ The test lamp should light.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
