Fault Symptom 3
Fuel Consumption According To The EDU Control Module Does Not Coincide With Actual Consumption.
Action
Details from car owner
1 The car's actual fuel consumption must be measured by requesting the car owner, for instance, to do the following:
- Fill up the tank, RESET the EDU control module and make a note of the mileage.
- Drive the car until the tank is nearly empty.
- Fill up again and note the amount of fuel required, the mileage and the average fuel consumption indicated by the EDU control module.
Important: To obtain a satisfactory degree of accuracy, the fuel tank should be filled up and run empty more than once. The more often this is done, the more accurate will be the result. When filling up with fuel, do not continue filling after the first automatic shut-off of the delivery nozzle.
2 Then work out actual consumption on the basis is of the car owner's information about the amount of fuel consumed (filled) and distance covered.
3 If fuel consumption according to the EDU control module still does not coincide with actual consumption, continue as described in adjustment of the EDU control module's fuel consumption indication. Adjustment of Fuel Consumption Display
