Gear Selector Lever Position Indication

45362 Gear selector lever position indication fault





Important: Faults have to occur several times in connection with gear selection before a diagnostic trouble code will be generated. The checks should be carried out with the EDU control module connected and the ignition switched on.





Check that the circuit is closed according to the table. In the columns, "closed" means that the corresponding pin should be connected to ground and "open" that battery voltage should be present on the corresponding pin.

If all signals are at battery voltage, the fault is probably in the ground connection to the gear selector lever switch. If only selected signals are incorrect, the fault could be in the wiring or the gear selector lever switch.

If all signals are correct, the fault could be in the EDU control module. Try another EDU that is known to be OK.
