E3 Check Motor Relay Operation

CAUTION: While performing this test step, do not allow motor to operate for more than two seconds.

- Key OFF.

- Locate and disconnect the anti-lock brake control module.

- Key ON.

- Connect the "BK/BL" wire to ground at the anti-lock brake control module harness connector.

- Connect the "BL" wire to ground at the anti-lock brake control module harness connector for no more than two seconds.

- Does the motor relay click and the motor operate when wires are grounded?

YES -- Go to E8. E8 Check Resistance at Anti-Lock Brake Control Module

NO -- If motor relay clicks but motor does not operate, Go to E5. E5 Check Motor Resistance

If motor relay does not click and motor does not operate, Go to E4. E4 Check ABS Relay
