Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Testing and Inspection
SUNROOF MOTOR INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. A-pillar trim A-Pillar Trim Removal/Installation
b. Sunvisor Service and Repair
c. Map light Map Light Removal/Installation
d. Assist handle Service and Repair
e. Front scuff plate Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation
f. Rear scuff plate Rear Scuff Plate Removal/Installation
g. B-pillar lower trim B-Pillar Lower Trim Removal/Installation
h. Adjuster anchor cover Front Seat Belt Removal/Installation
i. Upper anchor of the front seat belt Front Seat Belt Removal/Installation
j. B-pillar upper trim B-Pillar Upper Trim Removal/Installation
k. Sub-trunk Sub-Trunk Removal/Installation
l. Trunk end trim Trunk End Trim Removal/Installation
m. Third-row seat Rear - Third-Row Seat Removal/Installation
n. Third-row seat belt lower anchor installation bolt Third-Row Seat Belt Removal/Installation
o. Cargo compartment light Service and Repair
p. Trunk side trim
q. Second-row seat belt upper anchor installation bolt Second-Row Seat Belt Removal/Installation
r. Rear header trim Rear Header Trim Removal/Installation
s. C-pillar trim C-Pillar Trim Removal/Installation
t. Headliner Service and Repair
u. Sunroof motor Service and Repair
3. Measure the voltage at each terminal.
- If not as specified, inspect the parts listed under "Inspection item" and the related wiring harnesses.
- If the parts and wiring harnesses are normal but the system still does not work properly, replace the sunroof motor. Service and Repair
