Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement
AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT [AY6A-EL]
WARNING:
- A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before changing the ATF.
CAUTION:
- Do not remove the blind cap because it is not a removable part.
NOTE:
- The following procedure is for draining the ATF from the oil pan, not for complete replacement of the ATF.
1. Remove the overflow plug, and the O-ring.
2. Remove the overflow tube, and the gasket, and drain the ATF.
3. Install the new gasket, and overflow tube.
Tightening torque
- 24-54 Nm {2.5-5.5 kgf-m, 18-39 ft-lbf}
4. Temporarily tighten the overflow plug reusing the O-ring.
