Solenoid Valve Inspection - AW6A-EL




SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION [AW6A-EL]

CAUTION:
- Water or foreign objects entering the connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to drop water or foreign objects on the connector when disconnecting it.
- Do not damage the terminals.

On-Vehicle Inspection

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the air cleaner component. Service and Repair

3. Remove the TCM. TCM Removal/Installation - AW6A-EL

4. Measure the resistance between the following terminals.











- If there is any malfunction, inspect the coupler component.
- If the coupler component is normal, perform the following action.
Solenoid valve specification (ATF temperature: 20 °C {68 °F})





Continuity Inspection

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the air cleaner component. Service and Repair

3. Remove the TCM. TCM Removal/Installation - AW6A-EL

4. Inspect the continuity between the following terminals.











- If there is continuity, inspect the coupler component.
- If the coupler component is normal, perform the following action.
