Diagnostic Trouble Code 3

Note: The manufacture revised this procedure in Technical Service Bulletin T01496

Possible cause
- Weak battery
- Open or short circuit in wiring harness
- Poor connection of connector

Step 1
Measure the battery voltage. If the battery voltage is greater than 8 Volts, proceed to Step 2.

If the battery voltage is less than 8 Volts, check the charge/discharge system.

Step 2

Warning:
Handling the SAS-unit improperly can accidently deploy the air bags, which may seriously injure you. Read SERVICE WARNINGS before handling the SAS-unit.


1. Verify that the ignition switch is at LOCK.
2. Disconnect the SAS-unit connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

5. Measure the voltage at the terminals of the SAS-unit connector
