Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the vehicle speedometer sensor connector and remove the vehicle speedometer sensor
2. Remove the drain plug and washer. Drain the oil into a suitable container.
3. Install a new washer and the drain plug.

Tightening torque: 40-58 N.m (4.0-6.0 kgf.m, 29-43 ft.lbf)




4. Add the specified amount and type of oil through the speedometer driven gear mounting hole.

Specified oil:
Grade: API service GL-4 or GL-5
Viscosity: All-season SAE 75W-90
Above 10°C (50°F) SAE 80W-90
Capacity: 2.68 L (2.83 US qt, 2.36 Imp qt)




5. Verify the oil level. (Refer to INSPECTION.) Testing and Inspection
6. Install the vehicle speedometer sensor and connect the vehicle speedometer sensor connector.
