Flow Chart 5 - Lamp Flashes Six Times

Warning: Handling the air bag module improperly can accidently deploy the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Refer to Service Precautions before handling the air bag module.

Step 1
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.





2. Disconnect the diagnostic module connector and connect the SST to it as shown in the figure.

Step 2
1. Remove the driver-side undercover and lower panel.








2. Check the connection of the orange and blue clock spring connectors.

1. Remove the driver-side air bag module.

2. Check the connection of the driver-side air bag module connector.

Step 4
1. Disconnect the orange and blue clock spring connectors.
2. Disconnect the driver-side air bag module connector.











3. Check for continuity at the terminals of the clock spring.

Step 5








- Check for continuity between the terminals of the diagnostic module connector and clock spring connector.
