Test G: The Delayed Accessory Does Not Turn Off
PINPOINT TEST G: THE DELAYED ACCESSORY DOES NOT TURN OFFNormal Operation
The delayed accessory feature allows the power windows, radio and roof opening panel (if equipped) to function for up to 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off or until any door is opened. The delayed accessory function is controlled by the lighting control module (LCM). The LCM, when awake, supplies a ground for the accessory delay relay coil through circuit 194 (PK). When the ignition switch is turned from ON to OFF, the LCM begins the timing sequence. If a door is opened, the LCM turns off the accessory delay function. If the ignition switch is turned to another position, the LCM also cancels the delayed accessory function.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Accessory delay relay
- LCM
