PINPOINT TEST G: DTC C1992 - VEHICLE SPEED CIRCUIT FAILURENormal Operation
The Parking aid module (PAM) receives the vehicle speed signal (VSS) on circuit 679 GY/BK which is hard wired from the PCM.
- DTC C1992 (Vehicle Speed Circuit Failure) - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets if there is an open or a short to ground on the VSS.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals and connectors
- PAM
- PCM
