Test P: DTC C1440 - Pressure Transducer Input Circuit Failure

Pinpoint Test P: DTC C1440 - Pressure Transducer Input Circuit Failure

Normal Operation
The pressure transducer transforms brake fluid pressures in the master cylinder to an electrical signal which the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module receives through circuit 8-CF64 (WH/BK). The transducer receives a 5-volt reference from the ABS module through circuit 7-CF64 (YE/BK). Circuit 9-CF64 (BN/YE) provides ground for the transducer.

Possible Causes
^ Power circuit 7-CF64 (YE/BK) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
^ Ground circuit 9-CF64 (BN/YE) open, short to ground, or short to voltage
^ Transducer signal circuit 8-CF64 (WH/BK) short to ground or short to voltage
^ Pressure transducer
^ ABS module
