CAUTION: Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.

Normal Operation
The front electronic module (FEM) sends the variable assist power steering (VAPS) solenoid a pulse width modulated (PWM) current through circuit 8-CE9 (WH/GN). The VAPS solenoid sends a feedback voltage to the FEM module, depending on the power steering assist demand, through circuit 9-CE9 (BN/GN).
