2UR-FSE FUEL: FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER: INSTALLATION

HINT
When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the threads and gasket seating surfaces of the 2 fuel pressure pulsation damper assemblies.

(b) Temporarily install each dampers together with 2 new gaskets and the fuel pipe to the fuel pump.

(d) Using SST, tighten the 2 dampers.

without SST - Torque : 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf)

with SST - Torque : 34 Nm (347 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)

HINT
* Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.8 in.).
* Make sure SST and the torque wrench are connected in a straight line.

(e) Connect the 3 fuel hoses.

(f) Connect the 2 delivery pipe connectors to the delivery pipe.

2. CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL HOSE

(a) Push in the tube connector to the pipe until the tube connector makes a "click" sound.

(b) Push down on the retainer to lock it in place.

NOTICE:
* Check that there is no damage or foreign objects on the connected part of the fuel pipe.
* After connecting, check that the fuel tube connector and the pipe are securely connected by pulling on them.

6. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE HOSE Installation

7. INSTALL NO. 3 COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the No. 3 cover with the 2 clips.

8. INSTALL ENGINE MOTOR CABLE CLAMP BRACKET Installation

9. CONNECT FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL INJECTOR DRIVER Installation

11. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE HARNESS Installation

12. CONNECT ECM CONNECTOR Installation

13. CONNECT NO. 2 CONNECTOR HOLDER Installation

14. CONNECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU Installation

15. INSTALL OUTLET ENGINE ROOM ECM DUCT Installation

16. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER Installation

17. INSTALL NO. 5 COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the No. 5 cover.

18. INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the engine cover RH with the 4 nuts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

19. INSTALL NO. 6 COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the No. 6 cover.

20. INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the engine cover LH with the 4 nuts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

31. CONNECT FRAME WIRE Installation

35. INSTALL INVERTER TERMINAL COVER Components

36. INSTALL MOTOR CABLE COVER RH Installation

38. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Components

39. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP

(a) Install the service plug grip Installation.

40. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

48. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH Installation

49. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH Installation

50. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

51. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

52. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation

53. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
