Installation





SUSPENSION: FRONT STABILIZER BAR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR

(a) Install the stabilizer bar to the vehicle.





NOTICE:
The identification mark must be on the right side of the vehicle when installing the front stabilizer bar.

2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSH

(a) Install the 2 bushes outside of the bush stoppers on the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
Be sure to install the bushes so that the cutouts face the front of the vehicle.

3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH





(a) Press the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 LH against the frame and away from the vehicle. Then temporarily install bolt A.

(b) Install bolt B. Then tighten bolt A, and install bolts C and D.

Torque : 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft-lbf)

(c) Install the clamp of the skid control sensor wire to the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 LH.

4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 STABILIZER BRACKET LH

(a) Install the bracket on the vehicle with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft-lbf)

6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR LH

(a) Install the under cover with the bolt.





8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

9. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front stabilizer link with the 2 nuts.





Torque : 84 Nm (856 kgf-cm, 62 ft-lbf)

HINT
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon (6 mm) wrench to hold the stud.

10. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

11. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER

12. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 72 ft-lbf)

13. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

(a) Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment Front Wheel Alignment.
