Removal





PROPELLER SHAFT: FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the exhaust pipe Removal.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. LOOSEN FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Put matchmarks on the transfer companion flange and front propeller shaft.





(b) Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, loosen the 6 bolts.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the front propeller shaft.

(c) Put matchmarks on the front differential companion flange and front propeller shaft.





(d) Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, loosen the 6 bolts.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the front propeller shaft.

4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER





(a) Support the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with a transmission jack.

NOTICE:
Keep the transmission jack level with the weight properly supported.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts.

(c) Remove the 5 nuts and rear No. 3 engine mounting insulator, and remove the rear engine mounting member from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

5. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 12 bolts, 4 universal joint washers and front propeller shaft assembly.

NOTICE:
Do not bend the front propeller shaft at an excessive angle.
