Replacement

2UR-FSE ENGINE MECHANICAL: FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

7. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE Removal

8. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

9. REMOVE RESONATOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and resonator bracket.





10. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY [1][2]Removal

12. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY

(a) Remove the crankshaft timing gear key from the crankshaft.





13. REMOVE FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL

(a) Remove the oil seal with a screwdriver.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole and crankshaft.

14. INSTALL FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL

(a) Using SST, tap in a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover edge.





SST : 09223-22010

SST : 09506-35010

NOTICE:
* Keep the lip free from foreign matter.
* Do not tap the oil seal at an angle.
15. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY

(a) Install the crankshaft timing gear key.





16. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY [1][2]Installation

17. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY Installation

18. INSTALL RESONATOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the resonator bracket with the bolt.





Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

19. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT Installation

20. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE Installation

21. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation

22. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH Installation

23. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH Installation

24. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

25. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

26. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
