Installation





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BLOWER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the blower assembly with the claw and screw.





(b) Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT

(a) Install the No. 2 air duct with the screw.





4. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONER UNIT ASSEMBLY

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the heater water inlet hose.

(b) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to connect the heater water outlet hose.

(c) Install the air conditioner unit assembly with the 3 bolts and 2 screws.





HINT
Tighten the bolts and screw to the instrument panel reinforcement in the order shown in the illustration.

Bolt - Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY

(a) Driver seat side:

(1) Using a T40 "TORX" socket, install the instrument panel reinforcement with the 2 "TORX" bolts.









(2) Install the bolt.

(b) Passenger seat side:

(1) Using a 12 mm hexagon wrench, install the instrument panel reinforcement with the 2 collars.

Torque : 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)

(2) Using a T40 "TORX" socket, install the 2 "TORX" bolts.

Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(3) Install the bolt.

(c) Install the 6 caps.

(d) Install the instrument panel reinforcement with the 3 bolts and nut.









Bolt [B] - Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

Nut - Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

(e) Install the bolt [A] and cap.

(f) Connect each connector and engage each clamp.

(g) Install the 2 earth wires with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(h) Install the 2 junction blocks with the 2 bolts and 3 nuts.

Bolt - Torque : 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

Nut - Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

6. INSTALL ID CODE BOX (IMMOBILIZER CODE ECU) Installation

7. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch) Installation

8. INSTALL DISTANCE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Installation

9. INSTALL SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Installation

11. INSTALL MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU WITH BRACKET Installation

12. INSTALL LOWER DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the lower defroster nozzle assembly.





13. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY Installation

14. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING Installation

15. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR DUCT Installation

16. CONNECT STEERING SLIDING YOKE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL STAY Installation

18. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CLIP Installation

19. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY Installation

20. CONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY Installation

23. INSTALL FRONT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Center Speaker) Installation

70. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH Installation

72. INSTALL HEATER WATER INLET HOSE

(a) Install the water hose and attach the clip.

73. INSTALL HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the water inlet hose.

74. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A

(a) Remove the vinyl tape attached to the pipe.

(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring on the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

(d) Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A to the fitting hole.

75. INSTALL SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the vinyl tape attached to the pipe.

(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the suction pipe sub-assembly.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring on the suction pipe sub-assembly.

(d) Move the hook connector in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.





(e) Insert the pipe joints into the fitting holes securely and tighten the bolt.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

76. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
