ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

HINT
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Pass the cable into the engine room.

(b) Pass the cable rear side through the grommet until the cable stopper is attached to the grommet.

(c) Pass the cable front side through the upper radiator support.

(d) Connect the clamps as shown in the illustration.





2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY









(a) Install the hood lock lever and connect the hood lock control cable.

(b) Attach the 2 claws.

3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.





(b) Install the hood lock.





(c) Install the 2 bolts and nut.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(d) Install a new cap.

(e) Connect the hood lock control cable.

4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH





(a) Attach the 3 clips to install the protector.

5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER





(a) Attach the claw to install cable cover.

(b) Install the 3 screws.

6. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (W/ Cruise Control System) Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Installation

8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

12. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
