AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR AXLE CARRIER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY
HINT: Refer to the procedure up to Remove Rear Axle Assembly Removal.

2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 WHEEL BEARING DUST DEFLECTOR Removal
3. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Hold the rear axle hub carrier sub-assembly between aluminium plates in a vise.
NOTE:
Do not overtighten the vise.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts, parking brake anchor block, cable support bracket and parking brake plate.
