PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE PEDAL: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the parking brake control pedal assembly to the body, and temporarily tighten the 3 nuts.
(b) Fully tighten the 3 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the parking brake switch connector.





(d) Connect the instrument panel junction block assembly with the 2 nuts.
(e) Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the 3 nuts and 2 bolts.
Nut - Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)
Bolt - Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)





2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER





(a) Install the parking brake equalizer to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly in the order shown in the illustration.





(b) Slide the rubber boot back as shown in the illustration.





(c) Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.
(d) Install the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE RETURN WITH DAMPER SPRING





(a) Install the parking brake return with damper spring.
4. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY
HINT: Refer to the instructions for Installation of the propeller shaft with center bearing assembly Installation.

5. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FLOOR REAR SUB PANEL





(a) Install the front upper floor rear sub panel to the body with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
(b) Engage the 8 clamps.
6. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Installation
7. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR AIR DUCT
8. INSTALL REAR AIR DUCT GUIDE LH
9. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR SILENCER PAD LH
10. INSTALL NO. 3 DASH PANEL INSULATOR PAD
(a) Install the No. 3 dash panel insulator pad with the clip.
11. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST LH
(a) Engage the 2 clips and install the front floor footrest LH.
12. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH Installation
13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation
14. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER LH Installation
15. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation
16. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation
17. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
18. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
19. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH Installation
20. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation
21. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation
22. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Installation
23. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX Installation
24. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY Installation
25. INSTALL REAR ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY Installation
