Removal








SUSPENSION: REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT Removal
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH Removal
3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE RH Removal
4. REMOVE TOOL BOX Removal
5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal
6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT Removal
7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LH Removal
8. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
9. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR





(a) Remove the 2 nuts and the support protector.
10. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and brace.
11. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM





(a) Loosen the nut on the rear suspension member side.
NOTICE:
Do not remove the nut.

(b) Remove the bolt and nut and disconnect the rear stabilizer link and the load sensing valve sensor bracket.
(c) Remove the bolt and nut and disconnect the rear shock absorber.
NOTICE:
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

(d) Remove the nut and bolt on the rear axle carrier side.
NOTICE:
Turn the bolt while holding the nut.

12. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP (for AVS)





(a) Remove rear shock absorber cap and disconnect the connector.
13. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR (for AVS)





(a) Turn the absorber control actuator counterclockwise approximately 40° to remove it.
14. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING





(a) Loosen the lock nut of the rear shock absorber.
- Do not remove the lock nut.
- Loosen the lock nut only when disassembling the rear shock absorber with coil spring.





(b) Remove the 3 nuts on the upper side of the rear shock absorber with coil spring.





(c) Remove the 2 bolts and the rear shock absorber with coil spring from the body.
NOTICE:
During this operation, hold the rear shock absorber with coil spring to prevent it from falling.
