REAR SUSPENSION: REAR LOWER ARM: INSTALLATION
REAR SUSPENSION: REAR LOWER ARM: INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly to the rear suspension member with the bolt, nut (D), and washer.
(b) Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with the bolt (A) and nut.
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
(c) Temporarily install the stabilizer link assembly and the height control sensor link bracket to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly with the bolt and nut (C).
HINT: Fully tighten the nut after stabilizing the suspension.
(d) Temporarily install the rear shock absorber with coil spring with the bolt (B) and nut.
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY
(a) Support the rear axle assembly with a jack using a wooden block.
(b) Temporarily tighten the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
NOTICE: Turn the bolts while holding the nuts.
HINT: Fully tighten the bolts after stabilizing the suspension.
3. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation
4. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY
(a) Fully tighten the bolt (A).
Torque: 161 Nm (1642 kgf-cm, 119 ft-lbf)
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
(b) Fully tighten the bolt (B).
Torque: 110 Nm (1122 kgf-cm, 81 ft-lbf)
NOTICE: Turn the bolt while holding the nut.
(c) Fully tighten the nut (C).
Torque: 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft-lbf)
(d) Fully tighten the nut (D).
Torque: 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 103 ft-lbf)
5. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY
(a) Fully tighten the 2 bolts.
Bolt A - Torque: 95 Nm (969 kgf-cm, 70 ft-lbf)
Bolt B - Torque: 100 Nm (1020 kgf-cm, 74 ft-lbf)
NOTICE: Turn the bolts while holding the nuts.
6. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE Installation
7. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Installation
8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
9. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT Rear Wheel Alignment.
10. INSPECT AND ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING Adjustments.
