BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER: INSTALLATION

BRAKE SYSTEM

1. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE BOOSTER PUSH ROD Testing and Inspection

2. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new O-ring to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.






(b) Install the brake master cylinder sub-assembly to the booster assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)






(c) Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), connect the 2 brake lines to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
without union nut wrench - Torque: 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)
with union nut wrench - Torque: 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.)
- This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench.





(d) Engage the clamp and connect the connector.
3. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK






(a) Install the No. 3 engine room relay block with the bolt and nut.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

6. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

7. BLEED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER Service and Repair

8. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

9. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR Service and Repair

10. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK
11. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Testing and Inspection

12. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
13. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

14. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

15. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

16. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Installation

17. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH

18. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RH Installation

19. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH Installation

20. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH Installation
