SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Install the front passenger side knee airbag assembly with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL Installation

4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Installation

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

11. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
